With corporate boards under increasing pressure to articulate how their governance policies are being implemented and how governance decisions are linked to business strategy and performance, Investor Relations activities are of increasing importance inside the boardroom. In addition to earnings and financial performance, Investor Relations can play a central role in communication of topics such as, Board credentials and structure, Executive and board remuneration, Social policy and environmental practices, Self-dealing and conflict resolution, Risk management and internal controls, Corporate culture and ethics.
